Community Cards #2: Top 5 Evgeni Malkin Hockey Cards

Welcome to Community Cards, where we showcase various hockey cards. Each post has a different theme. Today's theme is top 5 Evgeni Malkin cards pulled by CloutsnChara. If you want to submit your cards to be featured on Community Cards, send an email to DHLineups@gmail.com.

Number 5: Upper Deck Black

09-10 Upper Deck Black Pride of The Nation Evgeni Malkin 7/35

To start we have a Pride of a Nation hard signed autograph card. The autograph is written in a nice gold coloured ink. The patch is manufactured unfortunately, but NHL jerseys don’t have Russian flags on them so I guess it’s acceptable in this case. This card is worth approximately $75.

Number 4: ITG Superlative

11/12 ITG Superlative V3 Get Real 1/1 Tag Evgeni Malkin

Next up, we have a one of one tag. I don’t have too much to say about this one. From past ebay listings I would approximate this card to cost between $50 and $100.

Number 3: SPX Winning Combos Dual Patch

11/12 SPX Winning Combos Dual Patch /15 Mario Lemieux/Evgeni Malkin

Numbered to just 15, and featuring two all time greats, this card comes in third on the list. Malkin’s patch is a nice three colour patch with some threading, while Lemieux has a two colour patch with some thread. As far as the monetary value, this card comes in around the $25-40 range.

When this card was printed Malkin had 158 career goals (as seen on card). As it sits as I write this, Malkin has 328 career goals.

Number 2: SP Authentic, Authentic Moments

13-14 Upper Deck SP Authentic Authentic Moments Autograph Malkin/Lemieux

Here is another card featuring both Malkin and Lemieux. This one has two hard signed autographs. As you can see from the card, the image is from the Penguins first Stanley cup win since the Lemieux era. Estimated value is somewhere between $40 and $80.

Number 1: The Cup Exquisite Art of the Game

15-16 UD The Cup Exquisite Art of the Game Auto Booklet /3 Evgeni Malkin

The best Malkin pull from CnC is this hand drawn booklet with an autograph. This booklet is numbered to 3 and features a Bud Light logo. My estimation of how much this card would be worth is somewhere around the $500 range.
